Donations

Rio Concho Retirement Community has been locally owned and non-profit since 1962 and our mission is to provide safe, dignified, affordable senior housing. Your donation can help us achieve that mission. Whether you would like to make a one-time donation, donate a gift of stock, or make a planned gift, your donation can change lives. Below are just a few examples of how your donation can make an impact. Contact us today at 325-655-9046 to learn more about how your donation can assist those in need.

Circle of Friends Fund

We strive to provide a safety net for those facing unmanageable financial stress that makes appropriate housing no longer affordable. Our Circle of Friends Fund was established to receive gifts with the specific purpose of creating a financial safety net for our residents. This safety net helps us assist those who have significantly limited financial resources, or even face exhaustion of those resources. Your donation to the Circle of Friends fund is used to provide direct financial subsidy to current residents that find themselves in a place when they cannot continue to afford their maintenance fee or rent.

Rio Concho Terrace Operational Cost Subsidy Fund

Our Rio Concho Terrace community provides a higher level of service and care which includes 3-meals per day served in the dining room, transportation services, housekeeping, laundry service and 24 hour a day staff. The Rio Concho Terrace evolved from our own Manor residents needing additional assistance in their own day-to-day living. The operational costs at Terrace are significantly higher than other Rio Concho Communities. In an effort keep rents affordable for residents needing these additional services we established the Rio Concho Terrace Operational Cost Subsidy Fund to keep our all-inclusive rent pricing affordable for both current and new residents. Your donation to the Terrace Operational Cost Subsidy fund is used to offset operating expenses and keep rents affordable for all Terrace residents.

Manor Building Restoration Fund

In 1966, the Manor opened its doors offering affordable all bills paid apartments to adults 62 years and over. Since its inception, it has housed generations of families. Over the years we have continually invested in the upkeep and maintenance of the building but with time and age we have a long list of capital needs at the Manor. Donations to the Manor Restoration Fund will be used to fund physical building upgrades and improvements at the Manor hi-rise. On May 2, 2023 $3,455 was raised during the San Angelo Gives one day fundraising event for the Manor Restoration Project. Since May, donations have continued and Rio Concho would like to recognize the donors who have contributed to the Manor Building Restoration Fund. Because of their generosity and continued donations, the Manor has raised over $15,200. With these funds, Rio Concho Manor started by upgrading the laundry room. The Manor has a long restoration road ahead and we are looking to our residents, local community, and businesses who believe in our mission to continue to help us with these projects.
